Moving houses is always a messy business, and that’s what we do here at Sameer House Carier in Borivali West. We are based out of the Ckp Colony on Eskar Road, which is a busy spot near Shamuddin. Most of our days start early, loading up the trucks with blankets, ropes, and boxes before heading out to someone’s home. It’s hard work lifting heavy furniture and navigating narrow staircases in some of the older buildings around here. We’ve seen it all, from pianos that won't fit in elevators to hundreds of small boxes of books. Our office is more of a place to park the vehicles and store extra packing supplies than a place for sitting around. When we aren't out on a move, we’re usually maintaining the trucks or coordinating the schedule for the next day. It’s a lot of physical labor and sweating, especially when the humidity is high, but someone has to do it. We try to be careful with people's belongings because we know how much a person's stuff matters to them. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and we get to see many different parts of the city. We’ve been in Borivali for a while now and most people in the colony know our faces. We just show up, pack the stuff, and get it to the new place without making a big deal out of it. It’s just about getting the job done so people can settle in.
