Sambad

Our small office for Sambad is in Room No A/3 at Matrukrupa Society. We are located in Dadar West, which is a very busy part of Mumbai. Right across the road is the Desai Hospital, so there are always ambulances and people walking by. Dadar is like the heart of the city, and being here means we are always in the middle of everything. The room is not very big, but it fits our desks and the old filing cabinets we use. We spend our days mostly writing and talking. There is a small balcony where we keep some plants, but they are mostly covered in dust from the road. The society is an older one, so the walls are thick and it stays relatively cool even when it is hot outside. We have a small kettle for making coffee when we stay late to finish things. It is a very simple setup. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most people just know us by the name on the door. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are inside, but we make it work somehow. Working in Dadar West means you are never far from a good snack or a bus stop. We’ve been at Matrukrupa for a long time now. The hospital opposite is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. It’s just a regular workplace for regular people doing their daily jobs without any fuss.
