Our business, Safe Impress Courier Services Pvt Ltd, is located on the first floor of Hira Mahal. That is at 13 Kalbadevi Main Road. If you know the area, you know it is always packed with people and commerce. Our office isn't very large, and most of the time it is filled to the ceiling with cardboard boxes and parcels waiting to be sorted. We have been in this building for a long time. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, which makes carrying the heavy crates a bit of a workout every morning. We don't have a fancy reception area. It is just a counter and some scales. We spend our days taping up boxes and writing out waybills by hand. The sound of packing tape being pulled is constant here. We have a small team of delivery boys who are out in the heat most of the day. They know every shortcut and back alley in this part of the city. We don't have any big corporate mission; we just try to make sure the packages don't get lost or broken. The building is old and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it serves its purpose well. We usually start quite early before the sun gets too hot and the traffic gets too bad. By the time the markets close, we are usually exhausted but we make sure the last truck is loaded. It is just a normal, busy courier shop in a busy part of town.
