Ruskin Cheipharm

Ruskin Cheipharm is tucked away inside the Bhangwadi Shopping Arcade. If you know Kalbadevi, you know how crowded it gets. We are in 4A. It is a tight space, but it works for what we do. The arcade has been there forever, and it feels like a maze sometimes if you're new. We spend our days here among all the other shops. It's noisy outside with the shoppers and the deliveries, but that is Kalbadevi for you. We mostly focus on our work and try to keep up with everything. The shop isn't big. We have shelves everywhere. Sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit when the shipments come in. We’ve been in this arcade for a long time. It’s got that old Mumbai feel to it. The walls could probably use some paint, but we're too busy to think about that. Mostly we just handle the pharma stuff and talk to the regulars who come by. It's not a flashy business. We just do our thing. The light in the arcade isn't great, but you get used to it after a few years. We know the other shopkeepers around us. We often share a tea in the afternoon when things slow down for a minute. That’s pretty much our life here. We don't really have a website or anything like that, we just stay here and work. It is simple but it keeps us very busy.
