Royal Indicrafts is based in Malad East, specifically at Shreeji Niwas on Sankey Road. We are situated right opposite where the old Sanjivni Hospital used to be. Most locals still use the hospital as a landmark when they are trying to find us. The building, Shreeji Niwas, has a lot of history and you can feel it when you walk through the entrance. Our space is at 41366, and it’s filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected and worked on over time. It’s a bit of a maze inside with boxes and items stacked up, but I know exactly where everything is. Sankey Road can get quite congested during rush hour, so there is always the sound of honking in the background. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people. It’s just us doing the work we've always done. The air in the shop usually smells a bit like wood and dust. We spend our days sorting through materials and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a practical environment, not a polished gallery. I’ve lived and worked in Malad for a long time, so I’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite all the new buildings, we’ve stayed right here on Sankey Road. It’s home for us and our work. We don't try to be anything we aren't, we just stick to what we know best and handle the daily orders.
