Romaldo Fernandes (Romeo)

My place is in Shyam Kunj, over in the Ganesh Nagar part of Dombivli West. It is right across from the Sai Baba Mandir, so I hear the bells and the morning prayers every day. It’s a nice way to start the morning, honestly. Being in Thane, especially in a spot like Dombivli, things are always moving fast. I go by Romeo mostly, and this is where I handle all my business. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a room where I can sit down and get things sorted. The building is one of those older ones that has a lot of character. Sometimes the tap leaks a bit or the door creaks, but it’s home. I’ve lived in this area for a long time and I know most of the people on my street. We look out for each other. My workspace is pretty simple—a desk, a chair, and a lot of notebooks. I’m not one for fancy gadgets if they aren't needed. People usually just give me a call or drop by if they see my light on. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it’s how I’ve always worked. I don't see the point in making things complicated. Whether it’s paperwork or planning, I just sit here at Shyam Kunj and get through it. It’s a quiet life for the most part, even with the temple crowds and the city noise.
