Rising Star Entertainment

Rising Star Entertainment is located in Chembur East, at E/11. It’s a basic office in a part of town that’s always moving. We don’t have any big neon signs or anything like that. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves full of equipment and a few desks for us to sit at. We deal with entertainment stuff, which basically means a lot of phone calls and coordinating with performers or venues. Chembur is a good place to be because it’s easy to get to other parts of the city from here. The office is often a bit of a mess with costumes or props lying around waiting to be picked up. We don’t have a professional cleaning crew, so we just tidy up ourselves when we can. It’s a small operation. We know most of the people we work with personally. We don’t use much technology beyond our phones and a basic computer for emails. Some days the office is empty because we’re all out at a site. Other days we’re all crammed in there trying to figure out a schedule. It gets noisy when everyone is talking at once. We like the vibe of E/11 though. It’s been our base for a long time. We don't try to act like we're some big production house. We’re just local people helping out with local shows and events. It’s hard work but we enjoy the variety of it all.
