Regal Sweets

Our shop is Shop No 7 in Kadri Park, which is right on S V Road in Vile Parle West. It's a very busy part of the city, so there is always noise from the traffic outside. Inside the shop, we have glass counters filled with all sorts of sweets. We start early in the morning, making the fresh batches of whatever is needed for the day. The smell of frying and sugar is always there. It’s a small shop, and when more than three or four people come in at once, it feels very full. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We know most of the people who live in the apartments nearby. They come in for a box of sweets when they have guests or a festival is coming up. The floor tiles are a bit worn down from all the foot traffic over the years. We keep the trays stacked up, and we try to keep things organized, but it gets messy during the holiday season. We don't use any fancy packaging, just the regular cardboard boxes and some string. S V Road is a good place for a shop like ours because someone is always walking by. We just focus on keeping the sweets fresh and getting the orders ready for whoever walks through the door. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy.
