Red Submarine Film

Our space is Room No 71 inside the Nalanda Housing Soc. It is tucked away in Malad West on the 4th Main road. To be honest, it is more of a home-style setup than a big studio you might imagine for something called Red Submarine Film. We are in the B S K 1St Stage area, which has its own rhythm and feel. Most of the time, the room is filled with cords, some screens, and a lot of hard drives sitting on the tables. It is not particularly tidy, but we know where everything is. Living and working in a housing society means you hear the neighbors and the kids playing outside in the afternoons. Sometimes the lift takes a while to come, so we just end up walking the stairs. We do our film work right here in this room. It is quiet enough when we need to focus, but Malad is always moving outside the window. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone visits us, we just clear off a chair and make some quick coffee. It is a practical way to run things. We have been in this part of the city for a bit and it feels like home now. The B S K 1St Stage has everything we need nearby. It is a bit of a maze if you are not from around here, but Room No 71 is our little corner. We just focus on the footage.
