Ratnesh Metal Industries

Ratnesh Metal Industries is tucked away at 48, 1st Suthar Gali. To get to us, you have to go up to the first floor of Umarotkar Sadan on Nanubhai Desai Road. It is near C. P. Tank, so the whole area is always buzzing with activity. Being on the first floor means we have to haul everything up and down the stairs, which keeps us in decent shape, I suppose. The space inside is quite tight. We have metal pieces tucked into every available corner. It’s a bit of a climb, but people find us eventually. The building itself is old, with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it relatively cool even in the summer heat. We have a few old desks where we sit to talk to people who come by. There’s no fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that push the air around. We mostly deal with local contractors and people from the nearby workshops. Everyone around here knows each other, so we often end up chatting about the news or the weather while we work. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don’t have a polished showroom. Everything is just out in the open where you can see it and touch it. It’s a bit messy at times, but we know exactly where the copper or brass or steel is located when someone asks for it.
