Funk Yard

You can find Funk Yard at No. 3 in the Shubh Laxmi Shopping Center. It’s right on Rani Sati Marg over in Malad East. It’s not a huge shop, just a small space where we keep all our things. The shopping center has been there for years, and it’s a familiar spot for people in the area. We like being in Malad. It’s always crowded, which keeps things interesting. Rani Sati Marg can get really backed up with traffic, especially in the evenings. We spend our day mostly tidying up the shelves and talking to anyone who walks in. It’s just a regular local business. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It's just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We have our regulars who come by just to see what’s new. The shop gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock, but we manage. We try to keep it simple. There’s no big philosophy behind what we do. We just like having a shop in this part of town. Sometimes the lights flicker, or the sign needs a bit of a clean, but that’s just part of owning a place. It’s a decent little spot in Shubh Laxmi. We’re usually there from morning until late, just keeping the doors open for whoever needs us. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fan running full speed while we sort out the new arrivals.
