Ramdev Sweet Mart

I’ve been sitting here at Shop No 7 in Siddhivinayak Chawl for quite some time now. Jogeshwari East is a busy place, and we’ve seen the streets change over the years. We mostly focus on the sweets and snacks people like to grab on their way home from work. It gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is finishing up for the day. The kitchen is small but we keep it busy from morning until late at night. There’s always someone coming in for a bit of milk cake or some samosas. We don't really do anything fancy here, just the regular stuff people expect from a sweet mart. Sometimes the rain gets heavy on this side of town and things slow down, but mostly it's just the usual routine of packing boxes and weighing out sugar. The neighbors know us well by now. We’ve had the same people coming in for years, bringing their kids along who are now grown up. It’s just how things go around here. You can find us right there in the chawl, it's not hard to spot if you’re walking through the market area. We try to keep things fresh every day because nobody likes old stock sitting around. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bags and standing by the stove, but that’s the job. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready for whoever walks through the door. It is what it is.
