Rakesh Watch Company

We are Rakesh Watch Company, located at 108 Santokh Niwas. You can find us right opposite the Greater Bombay Bank and Samppanna Homes in Shevale Wadi, Goregaon West. It’s a nice enough spot in a residential area. A lot of our customers are people living in the nearby buildings or folks stopping by after they finish their banking. We spend most of the day sitting behind the counter. It’s quiet work. Sometimes the only sound is the ticking of a wall clock that nobody bought yet. Goregaon West has grown so much, but our shop stays about the same. We have some old wooden drawers filled with tiny tools and screws that are almost too small to see. People come in when their watch stops or if they need a new belt. We don't make a big deal out of it. We just take the watch, look at it, and see what's wrong. Sometimes it's just a dead battery, other times the whole thing is rusted inside. We try our best to fix what we can. It’s a lot of patience. You can’t rush a watch repair or you’ll end up breaking something else. That’s just the reality of the business. We’ve been here at Santokh Niwas for quite some time now, just taking things one day at a time and making sure the clocks keep running. It is a steady way to make a living and we appreciate the people who come to see us.
