Rajmudra Creations

Rajmudra Creations is tucked away in Lower Parel, at 2/105 in the Dhulhan Nabi Kasam Chawl. If you know Lower Parel, you know it’s a mix of big new buildings and old chawls like ours. Our space is small and can get pretty cramped when we have a lot of work going on. We do various creative tasks, mostly making things by hand or using small machines. The chawl is a lively place to work. There are always neighbors around, and the sound of the city is never far away. Nabi Kasam Chawl has a lot of history, and we’ve been part of it for a good while. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. It’s just a workshop where we get things done. We usually have a lot of materials stacked up in the corners. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we make it work. We are just local people making things for other local people. Lower Parel has changed a lot over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We start early in the morning and keep going until the work is finished. It’s not a complicated business. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay organized in our small room. It’s a modest way to earn a living, and we’re happy with it. It is just how life goes in this part of Mumbai, and we are fine with that.
