I run my work from Flat No 61 in Abhilash Sadan, which is at 43 Bandra West. The building is right opposite the Fab India store, so it’s a very easy landmark for anyone coming to visit. Bandra is a lively place, but my office is a bit more on the quiet side. It’s a regular residential building where I’ve set up my workspace. I’ve been here for many years and have seen the neighborhood grow and change around me. There is no big sign outside or a reception desk. It’s just a place where I sit and handle my daily business tasks. Sometimes the street downstairs gets very noisy with all the shoppers and cars, but inside it’s usually calm. I don't follow any corporate rules or have a big team behind me. It is mostly just me managing things on my own or with a little help. The building itself, Abhilash Sadan, is one of those older Bandra structures. It has a lot of character and the neighbors are all quite friendly. I prefer it this way because I can talk to people directly. Most of the people I work with are long-time associates who know exactly where to find me. We usually sit and have tea while we discuss whatever needs to be done. It’s a very informal and personal way of doing things. I don’t believe in having a polished image; I just try to be useful and do my work properly from this small corner of Bandra.
