Rajam Snacks

Rajam Snacks is located at Gala No-C-12 in the Harichand Mill Compound. We’re right on L.B.S. Marg in Vikhroli West. The compound is an old industrial site with lots of different units tucked away in corners. Our unit is always busy. You can usually hear the sound of the fryers or the packing machines from the doorway. It’s a small space, so we have to be very organized to fit everything in. We don't have a fancy storefront. Most of our work is about making the snacks and getting them into packets. The floor is usually a bit slippery, so we have to be careful. L.B.S. Marg is one of the busiest roads in Mumbai, so getting deliveries in and out takes some timing. We’ve been here for several years and know the other folks in the compound well. It’s a tight-knit group. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just make snacks. Sometimes we try out a new recipe and everyone in the gala gets to taste it. It’s a very informal way of working. We don't have a human resources department or a marketing team. It’s just the owner and a few workers doing the daily chores. We work hard, we clean up at the end of the shift, and we come back the next day to do it again. It's just how we've always done things here.
