The shop is at Samta Nagar in Kandivali East. We are at Shop No-6 on Akurli Kas Road. It’s a busy spot, especially being so close to the Samta Nagar Police Station. You can always hear sirens or traffic. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of glass sheets and aluminium frames leaning against the walls. We do a lot of cutting and fitting here. It’s dusty work and you have to be careful with your fingers. The floor is usually covered in tiny silver shavings from the saws. We don’t have a fancy air-conditioned office. We just have a desk in the corner with a pile of receipts and a phone that rings quite a bit. People from the neighborhood drop in to ask about window repairs or getting a new mirror. It’s a practical kind of business. We spend a lot of time measuring things twice to make sure they fit right the first time. Sometimes we’re out on a site and the shop is closed for an hour, but usually, one of us is here. The heat in the afternoon can be a bit much, so we keep the fan running full blast. It’s a local place. We know the tea seller and the guys at the other shops nearby. We just keep our heads down and handle the glass carefully. It's a living and we've been at it for a while now.
