Metro Aluminium & Glass

Metro Aluminium & Glass is situated at Mulund West on Mohammed Ali Road 10. We work with two things that can be quite difficult to handle—aluminium and glass. You have to be careful with the glass especially, as one wrong move and it’s gone. Our shop is full of glass sheets of different thicknesses. We spend a lot of time cutting them very precisely. The aluminium part is a bit easier but still requires a steady hand for the assembly. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be extremely careful when moving around. We use suction cups and specialized cutters every single day. Sometimes we have to deliver the finished pieces, which is always a bit stressful because of the potholes on the roads. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It’s just the workshop where we do all the cutting and fitting. The phone rings a lot with people asking for repairs or new installations. We try to get back to everyone, but sometimes we’re right in the middle of a delicate cut and can’t pick up. We’ve been in Mulund for a while and people around here seem to know us. We don't put on any acts; we just tell people what we can do and how long it will take. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just keep our heads down.
