Gayatri Aluminium & Glass

Gayatri Aluminium & Glass is tucked away in Bhandup West. You can find us on Patel Street No 2, specifically in the Yakutpura 1 section. It is a bit of a tight squeeze around here sometimes. We spend most of our days surrounded by sheets of glass and aluminium frames. Cutting glass is something you have to be careful with, so the shop stays relatively quiet compared to the street outside. Patel Street can be quite a maze if you aren't used to it. We’ve seen many neighbors come and go, but we have stayed put right here. The light comes in through the front door in the afternoon and hits the glass stacks, which is probably the only pretty thing about the shop. The rest of it is just work benches and old crates. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to finish the orders we have and go home at the end of the day. There is always a layer of fine dust on everything, no matter how much we sweep. Working with aluminium means there are always offcuts lying around in the corners. People stop by to ask for small things or just to say hello while they are walking through Yakutpura. It is a very local kind of feeling. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just work with glass and metal at our spot in Bhandup.
