R R Associates Estate Consultants is our small setup at Shop No 61 in the Kamdhenu Shopping area. If you know Andheri West, you probably know the Amar Nagar Darga Road. It gets pretty busy around here, especially in the evenings when everyone is out on the street. We spend our days dealing with property matters, mostly helping people find a place to stay or a small shop to start their own thing. It's a lot of paperwork and running around to different offices, which isn't always fun but it's the job. Our office isn't anything fancy, just some desks and some old files stacked up in the corner. People come in and sit down to talk about their budget or what kind of floor they want. We've seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Mulund Colony is nearby too, and we end up doing some work over that way as well. The tea guy comes by twice a day and that's usually when we take a break from the phone calls. Sometimes it feels like we are just part of the local furniture because we’ve been at this spot for a while now. Dealing with landlords and tenants can be a headache sometimes because everyone has their own demands. We just try to keep things moving so people can get their keys and move in. It’s practical work and we stay busy with it from morning until the shutters go down at night.
