R K Digital Art Studio

Our studio is located at Gala Number 5, in the 215 A section of the Rangoonwala building at Mumbai Central. It’s not exactly the kind of place you’d expect to find a digital art studio. The building itself has seen better days and the stairs are a bit steep. Inside our gala, things are a lot more modern, mostly because we have several computers running all the time. It gets pretty warm in there with all the machines humming away, so we keep the windows open when it isn't raining. Mumbai Central is always loud with the sound of trains and the general city chaos, but we’ve managed to make our little corner comfortable enough. We spend most of our time staring at screens and clicking mice. Sometimes we lose track of time and realize it’s dark outside before we’ve even had lunch. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. There are just some stools for people to sit on while we show them the work on the monitor. We get our chai from the stall right outside the main gate of the compound. Most of the other businesses in the building do manufacturing or storage, so we are a bit of an oddity here. It’s a bit cramped with all the cables and hard drives lying around, but we know where everything is. We just focus on getting the work done every day and making sure the files are saved correctly.
