Prithvi Steel & Engg. Company is situated at 66, C.P. Tank Road, right on the ground floor. This area is one of the oldest steel markets you will find, and it has a very specific kind of energy. It is crowded, noisy, and everyone is always in a hurry to move something from point A to point B. Our office and storage space is packed with all kinds of steel sections and engineering goods. We have had to get very good at stacking things high because there is not much floor space to go around. If you visit us, you will see we do not have much in the way of decoration. The walls are mostly covered in old calendars and charts for metal weights. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, coordinating with suppliers and trying to figure out the fastest way to get an order through the narrow streets outside. C.P. Tank is the kind of place where your word matters more than a fancy contract. We know the other shop owners on the block, and we all deal with the same daily chaos of handcarts and delivery vans. It gets pretty dusty with all the construction and traffic nearby, but we are used to it. We just keep our heads down and focus on the orders we have for the day. It is not a quiet job, but it is our life here in the heart of the market.
