Prithvi Steel & Engg. Co. is located at 66, C.P. Tank Road. It is one of those places where there is always something going on. The area is known for this kind of work, so there is a constant stream of trucks and people moving about. Our shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. Most of the time, the floor is covered with some amount of metal scraps or dust, but that’s just the nature of working with engineering supplies. We have a small desk near the front where we handle all the transactions and talk to people about what they need for their projects. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes it a bit tough, but we have a few fans going to keep the air moving. People often get us confused with other shops nearby because the names are similar, but we’ve been at number 66 for quite a while. The work is mostly about getting the right sizes and types of steel to the people who need them. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that; it’s just us here doing the work every day. The neighborhood has changed a bit over the years, but the demand for good steel remains pretty steady. It’s a regular job for us, and we try to keep things organized despite the busy environment. We just keep plugging along.
