Our place, Prem Event, is in Wadala at Room No 205. It’s a small space, to be honest, and we have it filled up with all sorts of things we need for events. You have to walk up some stairs and it can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we make it work. Living and working in Wadala means we are right in the middle of everything, which is helpful when we have to run out and get supplies at the last minute. We spend a lot of time sitting at the table planning things out on pieces of paper. It’s not very high-tech here. Sometimes the room feels a bit cramped because we have boxes stacked up in the corners, but we know where everything is. We have been doing this for a while and we just like to keep things simple. Usually, there’s some music playing in the background while we work. We don't really have a big sign or anything, just the room number. People who know us just come by when they need something handled. It’s a lot of running around and making phone calls to vendors and making sure the transport is on time. We don't really think much about being a big company, we just focus on the task right in front of us for the day. We have a small window that lets in some light but mostly we just keep the lights on.
