Prabhu Decorators

We are located in Jogeshwari West, specifically at Room No 11 in Vaibhav Chawl. It is part of the Dmkr Cooperative Housing Society in Subhash Nagar. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know the space is tight and everything is close together. We run Prabhu Decorators out of this small room, which means we have to be very organized with our equipment. We have stacks of lights and folded drapes reaching up to the ceiling sometimes. It is a busy life living in a chawl and working here too. There is always the sound of kids playing or people talking in the corridors. We do most of our heavy work outside when the weather allows it, then pack everything back into the room at night. It is not a shiny showroom. It is a place where we get our hands dirty and make sure things are ready for whatever job is coming up next. We have a small table where we keep our ledgers and a few photos of things we have done. Most of the people around Subhash Nagar know us because we have been here a long time. We drink a lot of chai from the stall at the corner while we wait for deliveries. It is a humble setup, but it works for us. We just take one day at a time, moving our gear through the narrow lanes to get where we need to be.
