Popular Decorator

Popular Decorator is located right on the Borivali East Ring Road 2. It’s a busy spot with cars and rickshaws going by all day long. We’ve been in this neighborhood for many years now. Our daily routine is pretty simple. We spend our mornings checking our stock of fabrics, light strings, and various bits of wood and metal we use for decorating. Borivali East is a crowded place, and our shop reflects that—it’s packed to the rafters with stuff. We don't have a big fancy showroom or a team of designers in suits. It’s just us, working with our hands. People from the nearby apartments usually drop in when they have a small function at home. We talk about what they need and see what we have in the back. Sometimes the place is a bit of a mess, especially during the wedding season when everything is moving in and out at once. The floor is usually covered in some kind of glitter or scraps of ribbon. We drink a lot of tea from the stall down the road while we figure out our schedules. It’s a lot of physical work, loading and unloading the carts and making sure nothing gets broken in transit. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just helping people make their spaces look a bit better for a night or two. That’s how we’ve always done things here on Ring Road 2.
