Plastiworld 2019- Aipma

You can find us at Aipma House, which is located at A-52, Road No 1 in MIDC Marol, Andheri East. This whole area is basically the heart of industry in Mumbai. Being here means we are surrounded by factories and warehouses. Plastiworld is something we’ve been involved with for a while, specifically through the All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association. Our office is always buzzing with activity because the plastic industry is huge. Road No 1 is notoriously busy, especially with all the delivery trucks trying to get in and out. The building itself is quite well-known in the plastic circle. Inside, it’s mostly desks, meeting rooms, and a lot of samples of different materials. We spend our time organizing events and helping members with their queries. It is a very practical atmosphere. There’s no time for fancy language when you’re dealing with manufacturing schedules and exhibition planning. We take our lunch breaks in the small canteen or go out to the local spots if we have time. The air in MIDC has that specific industrial smell, and we’ve all grown quite used to it. We just want to make sure the association runs well and that everyone in the trade has a place to come to. It’s a lot of paperwork and planning, but it’s what we do. It’s a solid, hardworking environment in a very busy part of Andheri.
