Pixele Events

Up on Cumballa Hill, inside the Sagar Tarang Apartments, is where we handle things for Pixele Events. We’re in Flat 30. It’s one of those older buildings that has a lot of character and a nice breeze coming off the water if the windows are open. The space is a mix of a living area and a work zone. We have screens set up everywhere because we’re always looking at photos or video clips from the events we’ve worked on. It’s not a cold, glass-and-steel office; it feels like someone actually lives here, which they do. There are usually stacks of hard drives on the desk and some leftover snacks from a late-night editing session. Planning events from Cumballa Hill is nice because it’s a bit calmer up here, though getting parking for visitors is always a bit of a headache. We spend our time sketching out ideas or calling up technicians to make sure the visuals for the next show are going to work. There’s no corporate hierarchy here; we all just pitch in and do what needs to be done. Sometimes we work from the balcony just to get a change of scenery. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy. We don't use a lot of big words or fancy titles. We just like making sure that when an event happens, everything looks the way it was supposed to in the first place.
