Pharma Publisher

We are tucked away in Beach Square, right across from the Novotel Hotel in Juhu. It’s actually a pretty nice spot to work, especially when the breeze comes off the water. Inside the office, it’s mostly stacks of manuscripts and proofs waiting to be checked. We deal with a lot of medical and pharmaceutical texts, which means we spend a lot of time looking at very small print. It’s not the kind of thing you can rush through. If a diagram is wrong or a word is misspelled in a medical book, it can be a real problem. Our desks are usually covered in papers and empty tea cups. Being in G-5, we see a lot of people walking by on their way to the beach. Sometimes it’s hard to stay focused on publishing when it’s sunny outside, but there is always a deadline to meet. We work with different authors and printers to make sure everything gets bound and shipped out on time. It’s a small operation here. We don’t have a giant corporate floor, just a practical space where we can get the editing and layout work done without too many distractions. We’ve been in this Juhu spot for a while now and most people in the local trade know us. It’s a lot of sitting and reading, but someone has to do it. We just keep the printers running and make sure the manuscripts move along.
