Party Starters

Out here at Malabar Hill, things are a bit quieter than the rest of the city, but we stay pretty busy at Party Starters. We’re located in Miramar, right on Napeansea Road in 101/B. It’s an old building, but it has a good feel to it. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees; we're just a small group that knows how to get a room ready for a get-together. Most of our mornings are spent on the phone or checking lists of what needs to be packed into the van. Living and working around Mora means we deal with the coastal air and the specific pace of this part of town. We don’t do those polished presentations. Usually, we are just sketching ideas on scraps of paper or showing someone a photo on a phone of what we did last week. It can be stressful when a client changes their mind at the last minute, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We’ve been in this space for a bit, and the neighbors know us by now. We try to keep the noise down when we are loading stuff late at night. It's an honest living. We just show up, do the setup, and make sure things are running okay. No fluff, no big promises, just making sure the lights and the music are ready when people walk in. Most of our clients are just neighbors from around Napeansea Road anyway.
