Party Magick

Working out of Flat No 511 in Building B 2 can get a little messy sometimes. Since we are based right here in Vile Parle West, our living space usually ends up covered in bits of ribbon and stray balloons that didn't quite make it into the bags. Being near Milan Subway means there is always this low hum of traffic and trains in the background while we are trying to organize things. Bhikha Pura is a busy little pocket, and our flat is often filled with boxes of candles, banners, and those tiny little party favors that seem to get everywhere. It’s not like a big showroom or anything. It is just us sitting on the floor or at the small dining table, sorting through orders and making sure we have enough tape. Sometimes the neighbors in the building ask what all the noise is when we are testing out a new pump or something. The walk up to the fifth floor can be a lot if the lift is acting up, which happens now and then. We spend our evenings looking at the old Samlaya Savli Road through the window while we pack up kits for the next day. It is a bit of a squeeze having a business in a home, but we have figured out how to make use of every corner of the room. It’s just real life, messy and a bit loud sometimes.
