Paras Namkin

If you are looking for us, we are right near the Canara Bank in Sector 19 D of Borivali East. Paras Namkin is basically a shop filled with bags of snacks. I spend a lot of my time weighing out portions and tying up plastic bags with those little yellow threads. The smell of fried gram flour and spices is always in the air here. It sticks to your clothes after a full shift. We get a lot of people who come in after finishing their work at the bank. They want something to take home for tea time. Borivali East is quite crowded, and Sector 19 D has its own little rhythm. I have to keep an eye on the jars to make sure nothing is going stale. It is a lot of manual work, lifting heavy containers and moving boxes around in the back. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things high. Sometimes it feels like the bags might fall over if someone brushes against them too hard. I don’t use a computer or anything, just a simple notebook for my accounts and a manual scale. People like to taste a bit before they buy, so I’m always handing out small samples. It gets tiring standing on the tiled floor all day, but that’s just the business. We keep it simple and focus on what’s in the bags. No extra fuss.
