Pamama Productions

You can find Pamama Productions over in Thane West. We are in the B Wing of Golden Heaven, specifically room 706. Our building is on Kolbad Road, and the easiest way to tell people where we are is by mentioning the Fish Land Hotel across the street. People always seem to know that spot. We’ve been in Thane for a while, and we like being away from the extreme rush of central Mumbai. The office at Golden Heaven is where all the planning and the editing happens. It’s a bit of a creative mess sometimes, with cables and equipment tucked into corners. We don't worry too much about having a perfectly tidy space as long as the work is getting done. We are a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. One day we might be looking at scripts and the next we are hauling gear around. It’s a bit unpredictable, but that’s the nature of production work. We don't put on airs or try to act like we’re in Hollywood. We’re just local people making things we care about. Sometimes the monsoon makes getting to the office a bit of a challenge, but we manage. We’ve had a lot of late nights in this office, usually fueled by too much coffee and the sound of the traffic outside on Kolbad Road. It’s a good life, and we feel lucky to be able to do what we do right here in our own neighborhood. We keep at it.
