Our place, P N Singh Centre For H R D, is spread across a few rooms—502 to 505—in Sai Ch building in Santacruz East. We are right in the Chembur Colony area, specifically next to the Best Bus Depot. Having the bus depot so close is actually very helpful because people can find us easily without needing a map. We have been working out of these rooms for a long time. It is not a very loud office, but there is always something going on with training or meetings. We mostly focus on human resources development, which basically means we help people with their work skills and management stuff. Since we are in Chembur Colony, we get a mix of local residents and people coming in from other parts of the city. The setup is quite plain and functional. We didn't spend much on fancy decorations because we think the work we do inside the rooms is more important. You will often see people waiting in the hallway or chatting near the elevators. It’s a very grounded environment. We aren't a big fancy consulting firm with offices in every city; we are just here in this one building doing our thing every day. Most of the time, it’s just about sitting down and working through the materials or talking to the groups that come in for our programs. It feels like a small community here especially with the same regulars coming by.
