Our office is tucked away in the Cook'S Building on Dr Dadabhoy Naoroji Road. Being on the first floor in Fort means there is always noise from the street below. The Organisation Of Pharmaceutical Producers Of India has been here long enough that the walls feel like they’ve seen everything. It’s an old building, the kind with high ceilings and those big windows that let in a bit of dust from the traffic. We spend our days dealing with the pharma producers across the country. It’s a lot of meetings and phone calls, honestly. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit moody, so we just take the stairs. It’s a busy part of town, very different from the quieter suburbs. You can grab a quick tea just outside the entrance. The desk is usually piled high with reports and folders. We don’t have any of those modern glass partitions or bean bags. It’s just wooden desks and old filing cabinets. Being in Fort gives the place a certain feel, like you're right in the middle of the city's history. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a group of people working out of a classic Mumbai office. The humidity gets to the papers sometimes, but we manage. It's just how things are here at 324 Dr Dadabhoy Naoroji Road. The wooden floors creak when you walk on them, but it adds character I suppose. We aren't really the type to follow all the latest trends.
