Om Mandap Light Decorators

We are over in Sion at Shop No 147 in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. It’s a small shop packed with all kinds of things we use for our work. We have stacks of bamboo poles, bundles of colorful cloth, and crates full of light bulbs everywhere. If you walk past, you'll probably see us testing out strings of lights or folding up big pieces of fabric on the floor. We provide the setup for local festivals, weddings, and small street events. It’s heavy work, especially when we have to build a mandap from scratch in the heat. We spend most of our nights out working when it’s cooler and the traffic is less of a problem. Rajiv Gandhi Nagar is a tight-knit place and everyone knows where the light guys are located. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that for the business. People just come to the shop and tell us what they need for their function. We've been doing this for years and our hands are usually a bit dusty from the warehouse work. It’s a simple life for us. We make sure the lights turn on and the tent stays up for the guests. Sometimes the wires get tangled and it takes us forever to sort them out before an event. We don’t mind the work. It’s just what we do. We help out the neighbors when they have a function at home. It’s a practical job that keeps us very busy.
