Noorani Sweets

Noorani Sweets is tucked away in Masjid Bunder West, right at Shop No 149/151 on Gallabhai Bu. If you know the area, you know it stays pretty crowded and noisy. Our shop is where we make and sell all the different sweets and snacks people like to eat. We spend most of our mornings getting the trays ready for the day. There’s always the smell of sugar and ghee in the air, which we don't even notice anymore. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit tight when a few people come in at once. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. We don't have fancy packaging or big neon signs. We just put the stuff in the glass cases and sell it to whoever walks in. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the afternoon if it’s a holiday or just a really busy Tuesday. The staff here is just a few of us who know how to handle the orders quickly. We don't do any advertising; people just find us because they live nearby or work in the market. It’s a simple setup. We clean the counters, stack the boxes, and wait for the next person to walk through the door. It gets loud outside on the street, but inside it’s just us and the sweets. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. It’s just a regular neighborhood sweet shop where we do our job.
