Annapurna Purse Manufacturing Co.

We've been here at Shekhlal Chawl for a while now. It's a busy little spot in Ghatkopar West and things are always moving around us. We make different kinds of purses right here on the premises. It’s a small place, and Nityanand Nagar can get pretty crowded during the day but we like the energy of the neighborhood. Most days we are just busy with the sewing machines and cutting up the materials for the bags. It's not a fancy office, just a practical workshop where we get the actual work done. Our address is No. 10, so if you're looking for us, that's exactly where to find the door. People around this neighborhood know us for what we do. We don't spend our time on big ads or anything like that. We just focus on the bags and making sure the stitching is solid. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the workshop during the summer months but we keep at it. It's a local business, through and through. We started with just a couple of machines and slowly we added a bit more over time. The street outside can be noisy with all the traffic coming off the main road. But inside, it's mostly just the sound of the needles. We've seen the whole neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Some shops come and go, but we stay here at number ten. It is what it is, just a place where purses get made. We don't try to be anything else.
