New Style Shoes

So we are located at Radhabai Niwas, No. 241, over in Gandhi Nagar. This is right opposite M. S Building No:27 and near the Gurudwara at Sindhi Camp in Chembur. I’ve been running New Style Shoes from this spot for some time now. It’s just a regular shoe shop. We spend most of our time unpacking boxes and helping people find something that fits their feet. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot of stuff onto the shelves. Chembur is a busy area, especially this part of M. G. A. Gandhi Nagar. There is always someone walking by or a car honking outside. It gets a bit dusty with all the traffic, but we keep the floor swept. We don’t do anything too complicated here. You come in, look at what’s on the wall, and see if it works for you. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out most days. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the afternoon rush. It feels like a community spot because we see the same faces going to the Gurudwara or the market nearby. It’s a simple life running a shoe store. We just try to keep things honest and make sure the inventory is okay. Sometimes the shoes pile up in the back, but we get through it. Every night we lock up and head home, ready to do it again tomorrow.
