New India Wood Craft

New India Wood Craft is situated at Shop No 5/3 on C S T Road in Kurla West. We are directly opposite Kapadia Nagar, which is a big residential area. Being on C S T Road means there is a constant stream of traffic and noise outside our door from morning until night. The shop is filled with the smell of wood and sawdust, which is just part of our lives now. We have tools scattered around and pieces of wood leaning against the walls in every corner. It’s not a showroom; it’s a place where things actually get made by hand. The dust gets on everything, even our tea cups if we aren't careful to cover them. Kurla is a tough place to navigate, but people seem to find us okay once they see the Kapadia Nagar buildings. The shop front is simple, and the sidewalk outside is often broken in places or blocked by something. We have a small wooden bench where we sit when there’s a break in the work. It’s a lot of manual labor, and our hands are usually rough and dirty from the day's tasks. We don’t have a marketing team or a fancy logo. We just have our name on the board and the work we do. Opposite us, the neighborhood is always busy with families and kids, which makes for good people-watching when we take a minute to rest our backs after a long day.
