M. B. Sugars & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is located right in the middle of the Masala Market at Plot No. H/8 within the APMC Complex in Vashi. Being in the Masala Market means there is always a very strong smell of spices in the air, which you get used to after a while. The APMC Complex is a massive place, and it’s always crowded with trucks, laborers, and traders moving goods around. Our office is a practical space where we manage both the sugar and the pharma side of the business. It’s more of a functional warehouse and office combo than a corporate headquarters. We have people checking bags and others working on the computer. It gets quite dusty because of all the movement in the market, so we are constantly cleaning off the desks. Vashi is a busy spot, and the market area is probably the busiest part of it. We don’t have much in the way of amenities, just the basics like a few chairs and a table for lunch. Most of us have been working here together for a long time, so we have a good understanding of how the day goes. We don't use any fancy systems, just a lot of hard work and keeping track of our inventory. It’s a noisy, bustling environment, but it’s where we’ve been for years and it suits the type of work we do. We just focus on the shipments.
