You can find us over at Dasa Sorthia Wadi within the Maneklal Estate. Being right behind the new telephone exchange on LBS Marg means we deal with a lot of noise and movement throughout the day. Our space is usually filled with stacks of chairs, rolled-up carpets, and big metal cooking pots that are waiting for the next big event. During the wedding season, it gets absolutely chaotic here. We have crews coming in at all hours to load up the trucks. The staff has been around for years, so everyone knows exactly where the decorative fabrics are kept even if the place looks like a mess to an outsider. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure the tents are clean. Ghatkopar is a busy area, so getting the trucks out onto the main road is always a bit of a struggle with the traffic. We don't have a fancy office to show people; usually, we just talk to clients right there among the supplies or near the gate. Sometimes the smell of spices from the kitchen area is really strong when we are prepping for a big catering job. It is hard work, mostly lifting and moving heavy things, but it is what we do. We just keep moving from one season to the next, making sure we have enough stuff ready for whatever the weekend brings.
