Nandlal Sukhani

We work out of Flat 231 in Building 15 B on Charni Road. It’s actually quite a nice spot because we are right next to the Japanese Garden. When things get a bit too much inside, looking out at the greenery helps a lot. It’s more of a home-office setup than a corporate building. You have to go through the main gate and take the stairs up. Nandlal Sukhani has been based here for a while now, and the place is filled with stuff we’ve collected over the years. Files are stacked on the shelves, and there’s usually a pot of tea sitting somewhere. It’s quiet for the most part, which is rare for Mumbai. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of people keeping track of everything. Sometimes we get visitors who get a bit lost looking for the flat, but they usually find us eventually. The morning commute is okay since the station isn't too far, but we mostly just stay put once we get here. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get through our daily tasks without too much fuss. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of ink at the worst time, but that’s just how it goes. We like the pace here. It’s steady and predictable. Most of our neighbors in the building are families, so we try to keep the noise down while we work.
