If you find yourself in Borivali, specifically over in I.C. Colony, you might walk past the Joy Housing Society. We are up in Flat No. 401 on the 4th Cross Road. It’s a quiet residential area, which is nice because it lets us focus on what we’re doing without too much noise from the main roads. The office is really just an apartment we’ve turned into a workspace for our interior and architectural stuff. We’ve got samples of tiles and wood finishes tucked into corners, and the walls are mostly covered in sketches. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which I think people appreciate when they come to see us. Living and working in Mumbai 400 103 means you get used to tight spaces and the hum of the city. We spend our mornings looking at site photos and the afternoons arguing over where a wall should go or what color would look okay in a dark room. There’s no polished sales pitch here. We just show up, drink some water, and get to work on the projects on our desks. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we end up waiting around talking to neighbors. It’s a very local way of doing things, but it works for us. We’ve been part of this community for a bit and it feels right to stay tucked away in this corner of Borivali.
