You can find Transitions Architects Pvt Ltd over in Marol, in office number 204. Marol is one of those places that is always crowded and moving, and our office is right in the middle of that energy. Room 204 isn't very large, so we all sit pretty close to each other. It makes it easier to shout questions across the room instead of sending emails. We chose the name Transitions, but we don't really think about it much anymore; we are just the people who show up every morning to work on building plans. The space is filled with the hum of computer fans and the smell of old paper. We have a lot of folders stacked up on the floor because we ran out of shelf space months ago. Our work involves a lot of back-and-forth with contractors and city officials, which can be a bit of a headache, but it is part of the job. We don't have any flashy brochures or a mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar with a lot of deadlines circled in red. Most of our clients are local people who just need someone to help them figure out how to put their building together properly. We spend a lot of time on site, getting our shoes dirty and making sure things are being built the way we drew them. It is a straightforward way to make a living, and we just keep at it day by day.
