The office is tucked away in A-403 of Prathmesh Tower, right inside the Raghuvanshi Mills Compound. Most people know the spot because it is right next to Palladium Mall here in Lower Parel. Being in West Mumbai means there is always a bit of a rush outside our windows. We started ZZ Architect Pvt Ltd because we wanted a place to just do our work without too much fuss. It is a functional space. We have desks piled with drawings and a few computers that have seen better days. It gets loud downstairs with all the traffic, but inside we just focus on the architecture. We handle various types of building plans and technical layouts. There are a few of us here, mostly sitting and arguing over where a wall should go or how to fix a structural issue. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see someone drinking tea and staring at a screen. It’s a practical environment. We have been in this part of Lower Parel for a while, so we’ve seen the mills change into shops and offices. Sometimes we walk over to the mall for a quick break, but usually, we are just stuck at our desks. It’s not a fancy corporate setup, just a group of people trying to get their work done correctly. We don’t do big speeches about our work, we just draw the lines and hope the buildings turn out right.
