Our shop is number 29 over in Kanjurmarg Village. It is tucked away in the East side, not far from where the heavy engineering company is located. If you know the Sakinaka area, you know it stays pretty busy with trucks and workers all day long. We spend most of our time inside the shop dealing with whatever comes our way. The floor is concrete and we have got some shelves that have seen better days. It is not the quietest spot because of all the industrial work happening nearby. You can hear the machines humming from the big company down the road almost all the time. We usually keep the front shutters halfway up to let some air in. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons during the summer months. There is a small tea stall nearby where we get our snacks. Most of the people who drop by are regulars who live or work in the village area. We do not really do much in the way of decorating the place. It is mostly just tools, papers, and the stuff we need for work. Sometimes the rain gets a bit heavy and the road outside gets muddy, but we just keep going. It is a practical space for us. We have been here long enough that we do not really notice the noise anymore. We just open up in the morning and stay until the work is done for the day.
