Music People

If you head down to Sainath Nagar in Ghatkopar West, you will find us at C/39. We are the Music People, and as the name suggests, we spend most of our time around instruments and sound gear. The office is right at the H O, which means it stays pretty active. There is almost always some kind of music playing in the background, or someone is testing out a speaker. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we like it that way. The neighborhood is typical for Ghatkopar, a bit crowded and very lively. We have been here long enough that the local shopkeepers are all friends. Sometimes it feels like we spend more time talking to people who drop in than actually working. Dealing with gear and cables can be a bit of a headache when things break, but that is part of the routine. We aren't trying to be some massive record label or anything. We just like music and the people who make it. The space is filled with old posters and stacks of equipment that we really should organize better. It gets a bit dusty, especially in the summer, but we don't mind. It feels honest. If you are looking for us, just listen for the noise or ask someone near the station, they usually know where we are located. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the gear, but it has everything we need to keep working.
