Music On

Music On is located in Vile Parle West, tucked away on St Anthony Road. If you know the area, we are at 121/4 in the Pond Gauthan section, quite close to the Santoshi Mata Temple. It is a nice part of town, feels a bit more like a community than the busier main roads. We spend our time here dealing with all things music. Sometimes the shop is full of instruments and other times it is just us working on some recordings or helping someone out with a sound issue. It is not a shiny, polished studio, but it has everything we need to get the job done. We have been here for a while and the locals know us by now. You can often hear sounds drifting out into the street. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule; things happen when they happen. If the temple has a festival, the whole street gets lively and we usually just join in the vibe. Our space is small but we make it work. There are always boxes of cables or some old speakers sitting around. We like it that way. It feels real. Vile Parle West is a good spot for us because people around here appreciate a bit of noise and creativity. We just keep the music going and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. It is a simple life centered around sound and the neighborhood we are in.
