Murli Exports

You can find us in Ghatkopar, right across from the Chirag Nagar Police Station. We are on the first floor of a building on Mody Street, which branches off from LBS Marg. Being near a police station means the area is usually pretty orderly, though the traffic on the main road is always a bit of a mess. Murli Exports is where we handle all our shipping and logistics work. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks, computers, and a lot of paper files. We spend a lot of time on the phone making sure things are moving through the customs process. It’s a lot of waiting and then a lot of rushing all at once. My cousin and I started this because we had some contacts in the trade, and it grew from there. We don't use fancy software or have a marketing team; we just do the work ourselves. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window when it’s heavy during the monsoon, but we just put a bucket there and keep going. Ghatkopar is a good place to be, it’s central enough for us to get around. We know the local chai wallah and the courier guys well. We just try to get the orders out on time so we don't have to deal with angry phone calls the next morning. It’s a simple life, and we like the routine of it. We just focus on keeping the shipments moving and making sure the paperwork is done correctly.
